Founded in 1958, the Lake Forest Club, in its 57 years of existence, established itself as one of the North Shore’s preeminent swim, racquet and social clubs. INTENSE TENNIS:QUICK MOVING DRILL RIN BY A PRO | COMBINE INSTRUCTION AND CARDIO | MUST KNOW BASIC STROKES AND BE ABLE TO KEEP THE BALL IN PLAY. MEN AND WOMEN.
Lake Forest Club - Junior tennis Program SUMMER Session (8 weeks): June 10th – August 9th “8 and under” These classes are designed to allow the child to get familiar with tennis balls, the racquet and the court. Children will learn tennis through many different types of exercises and games.
• How to handle a racquet | How the racquet moves
• Make contact with the ball before (volley) or after a bounce (groundstroke)
• The perception (receiving) and the production (sending) of ball trajectories
• Balance and Stability Days: Monday-Thursday (4 days)
Time: 3:00 -5:00pm Fees: $160 per week or $50 per day
“12 and under” Stroke mechanics and basic footwork will be the focus of these classes. Goal: The development of these skills should allow them to rally cooperatively with a partner hitting balls before or after a bounce. Days: Monday-Thursday (4 days) Time: 3:00 -5:00pm Fees: $160 per week or $50 per day
“12 and more” During these classes, children will adjust, reinforce and polish their technical fundamentals (strokes and footwork). The fitness aspect and the strategy (tactic) become an important factor of their tennis development. Days: Monday-Thursday (4 days) Time: 3:00 -5:00pm Fees: $160 per week or $50 per day
“GRAND PRIX” Matches... Organized match play, singles and/or doubles, according skills and age allowing children to compete against others applying what they have learned during classes. ...And PIZZAS for each participant! Day: Friday Time: 3:00 -5:00pm Fees: $35

Alice is a Certified Tennis Professional from the French Federation, and played Division 1 collegiate tennis at Stephen F. Austin University and Northern Arizona University. She began instructing at the Lake Forest Club this spring and has developed a real rapport with the members. She is newer to the sport of paddle tennis, but her experience coaching tennis and her familiarity with the membership will be a major asset to the program.
Andy has been involved with racquets his entire life, first learning the game of tennis from world renowned coach, Nick Bollettieri. He played collegiate tennis at the Florida Institute of Technology and two years on the European Tennis tour. He has 15 years of paddle experience, both playing and coaching for Midtown and Tennaqua. He is certified by the USPA and brings invaluable experience and passion to the Lake Forest Club Paddle Program.
Teddy began playing Tennis at the age of five and is a certified Tennis Professional by the French Tennis Federation. Before coming to the U.S., he was the head tennis pro for his own tennis facility outside of Paris. He first developed his passion for Paddle five years ago, and currently competes on the national level as a Series 1 Paddle player. He is eager to share his experience of coaching and passion for paddle tennis with the members of the Lake Forest Club.
Drake has been involved in tennis since playing competitively as a junior, and continues to compete in USTA and CITA league tournaments. Before joining the Lake Forest Club, Drake instructed and played Paddle Tennis for the Midtown Athletic Club. Drake is excited to get more involved with the sport of Paddle, and his remarkable racquets skills will undoubtedly help LFC members improve their game.
